"The Standard Model and New Challenges for Physics Beyond that"
1) Fast recall of global symmetries, Noether's theorem, upgrade to local
symmetries, QED, extension to non-abelian symmetries,
QCD, spontaneous symmetry breaking in abelian and non-abelian symmetries.
2) Standard Model of Electroweak interactions with a small emphasis to
the Higgs sector and Neutrino masses.
3) Grand Unification: Mostly Georgi-Glashow SU(5) and its supersymmetric
extension. MSSM.
4) Attempts to reduce the independent parameters of SM and introduction
of the Zimermann-Oehme's Reduction of Coulings
method with successful applications in the N=1 Finite Thories and MSSM.
5) Higher Dimensional Unified Theories and the Coset Space Dimensional
Reduction. Successful examples.
Fuzzy extra dimensions. Successful examples and prospects for future work.
