INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP "SYMMETRIES AND SPIN"  PRAHA - SPIN - 2000

Dear Colleague,

We would like to inform you that the next in the series of Prague International Workshops on spin physics research programs, International Workshop "SYMMETRIES AND SPIN" - PRAHA-SPIN-2000 , organized by the

• COMPAS R&D Consortium, Turnov, Czech Republic

The main feature of "PRAHA-SPIN" workshop series is to take the broadest possible view of the discipline by inviting distinguished speakers, both theoreticians and experimentalists, from different collaborations aiming at the research of symmetry phenomena in various physics disciplines. The role of spin as one of the key elements in present and future development of particle, nuclear, atomic and solid state physics and astrophysics will be discussed. Important aim of Prague meetings is also to promote contacts between researchers from different fields of physics to review and discuss the present status and further development of their research.

Topics to be discussed include:

• Spin structure of nucleon
• Spin effects in few nucleon systems
• Spin physics in hadronic and leptonic reactions
• Spin effects in nuclear interactions and in weak interactions in atoms and nuclei
• Physics with polarized photons
• Spin physics beyond the standard model
• Nuclear orientation of stable and radioactive nuclei
• Polarized ion sources, beams, targets and polarimetry
• Collider experiments with polarized beams
• Spin physics experiments at RIBs facilities
• Future projects and perspectives

There will be Proceedings of the Workshop published as a special volume of Czechoslovak Journal of Physics.
 

The accommodation of participants will be reserved in Prague Universities Hotels and Hostels. The details concerning possible accommodation will be sent to registered participants by e-mail.

The Workshop Fee is 130 USD for participants and 70 USD for accompanying persons. It will cover workshop materials, proceedings, reception, social program and excursion.
