Information
The International
Advanced Summer School on Modern Mathematical Physics will be organized
by Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics (JINR,Dubna) and ITEP mathematical
physics group (Moscow) on July 04 - 17, 2004 in the framework of the program
DIAS-TH. The programme is supposed to include lecture courses on
-
Chern-Simons like theories
-
Conformal field theories
-
Homological algebra
-
Witten's open string field
theory
-
Mathematical cosmology
and black holes
followed
by evening discussion sessions. There is a preliminary agreement with the
leading experts concerning several review lectures on recent developments
in the field. Short reports of the students will be also encouraged.
PhD students
and young postdocs are expected to be participants of the school. The recommendation
of an Advisory/Organizing Committee Member or Supervisor is required.
The school
will be held in the Ratmino pension situated in a
picturesque pine-tree forest near the confluence of the rivers Volga and
Dubna. The participants will be lodged in double bedrooms, the shower and
the toilet being common for two bedrooms. The pension has its beach, the
tennis courts, the basket-ball and volley-ball pitch and the gim.
The organizing
fee is 500 Eu. It includes transportation from the Sheremetievo airport
(Moscow), accommodation with full pension .
The total
number of the School participants is expected to be 60. The deadline for
application is June 1, 2004.
There
is a limited number grants for participants from Russia, Ukraine,
Germany, Republic of Poland, Czech Republic and Romania . The requests
for financial support should be sent to the Organizing Committe
before June 1, 2004.
Arrival
of the participants to Dubna is expected to be on July 04.
On
July 17 the School makes way for the IV-th summer school "Modern
mathematics".
